The HK54 with the fixed stock is called the MP5 and with the retractable metal stock is called the MP5A1. A later version of this weapon with a modified front sight, rotating rear sight and modified front section of barrel was called the MP5A2 with fixed stock and the MP5A3 with the retractable metal stock. The above Navy version incorporates the Navy trigger group with pictogram markings. This version has fully automatic, semi automatic and safe. The MP5 Navy models have threaded barrels and can be used with or without an optional "wet technology" stainless sound suppressor. The Navy model was developed for the elite US Navy SEAL teams.
