ADAPTER SUBCAL, 21MM, M72-S

M72 with subcal device 21 mm
The Adapter, Subcal, 21mm M72-S is a training device which enables a 21mm practice rocket to be fired from a modified M72, 66mm Rocket Launcher Tube.

The adapter consists of the following items:
  • one modified M72, 66mm Rocket Launcher Tube; and
  • one barrel tube assembly.
    • The launcher tube is identical to that used for the full calibre system with the following modifications:
  • two diametrically opposed 7mm holes are drilled in the rear metal ring of the launcher tube and secure the Barrel Tube Assembly in place with two hex head socket screws.
  • identification markings are painted on the launcher tube to distinguish the item from the live or dummy components
    • The Barrel Tube Assembly is a smooth bore stainless steel tube with 3 centering disks supports which position the tube along the center line of the launcher.
