The Pistol, .22 calibre, Colt, Police Target is used by the Canadian Forces as a training weapon which may be fired on indoor ranges. It is free from severe noise and fires small calibre, inexpensive ammunition.
The Pistol is a double action, six shot capacity weapon. It is provides with an internal safety which prevents the hammer from firing the top round in the cylinder until the trigger is pulled.
