LIGHTWEIGHT VEHICLE MORTAR MOUNT (LWVMM)
The purpose of the LWVMM is to enhance the capabilities of the Bison Mortar and to provide the user with the capability of firing the 81mm mortar within the vehicle. In this role, the mortar is used as a mechanized close support infantry weapon providing rapid deployment and the capabilities for accurate, sustained fire. The LAV Bison Mortar is capable of carrying a driver, commander, a mortar crew with their personal kit and complete equipment stowage including a bipod and base plate for use in a dismounted role.
