M49A1 ring mount
The Mount Gun Ring M49A1 is used to support a straight shank pintle, machine gun mount for use on the M548 Cargo Carrier Cab.

The M49A1 ring mount is a solid ring mounted on the top of the M548 Cargo Carrier Cab. The ring has a carriage assembly with a backrest that allows the mount to be traversed through 360 Deg on the ring. This carriage is equipped with a lock to secure the carriage in a traveling position. The weapon may also be traversed in the mount approximately 45 degrees each side of center. The mount is secured for travel by a pintle locking clamp. The mount will accept mmgs and hmgs.
